Dress for the weather and bring sun protection (hats, sunscreen).
Dress for work and potentially muddy conditions. This means boots or closed-toed shoes, preferably long pants, and a long-sleeved layer to protect from scratchy plants or fencing.
Bring bug spray or treat your clothing to prevent ticks. Learn more
Bring plenty of water and a snack.
You may want to bring a change of clothes in case kids get messy (or be okay with the mess!)
Park in the dirt lot near the entrance, or along the street.
A bathroom will be available on-site.
Do a tick check. It's very important to prevent tick bites or remove them as soon as possible.
